Where the STRIDA stands out
- Taken along without lifting. Folded, you roll it on its own wheels, through the station or the supermarket.
- Clean. A belt instead of a chain: no oil on your hands or trousers.
- Sitting upright. The handlebar is high in front of you: a relaxed posture and a good view in traffic.
- Ready in no time. Folding and unfolding takes a few seconds.
When another brand suits you better
Want the smallest possible package, for instance under your desk or in a small car boot? Then a Brompton is more compact. Riding lots of hills or long distances? More gears help, as on a Brompton (up to 12) or a Tern. The STRIDA has one gear and is made for the city, the station and rides of up to about ten kilometres.
And Dahon?
Dahon makes many different folding bikes, mostly with 16 or 20 inch wheels, a chain and a hinge in the middle of the frame, so the bike folds in half. With so many models we put no figures in the table: compare the model you are considering with the STRIDA column.
